Pro Bono Track Record

Before commencing his formal pupillage training at One Crown Office Row, Iain Sheridan built up one of the best pro bono advocacy track records in London, winning 10 out of 12 appeal hearings. That is an 83.33 per cent success rate. He represented all clients after working nights for a Magic Circle law firm.

 

Vienna Vis Moot – Arbitrator, 2015 to date

The Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot is a competition for law students held annually in Vienna.
In 2022, more than 80 jurisdictions participated. Since 2015, Iain Sheridan has acted as an arbitrator for universities from Argentina, Australia, Brazil, China, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Hungry, Latvia, Italy, Malaysia, Poland, Russia, Singapore, Ukraine and the USA.

 

British Biathlon Union – Honorary Legal Counsel, Sept 2017 to Aug 2022 

Biathlon is an Olympic winter sport that combines the power and aggression of cross country skiing with the precision and calm of marksmanship. The long term aim of the British Biathlon Union (BBU) is to assist in making the UK a top 15 competitor nation across all competitions by 2030. My activities for the BBU include advising on English Law, EU regulation, data protection, intellectual property, risk management, and contributing to strategic planning set by the Chairman Major General Rob Weighill (Ret’d) and the board of directors.
